Note the 1,500 uF electrolytic capacitor which must be installed inside the

modem enclosure. You MUST add this capacitor near the modem or the radio

won’t have enough power to transmit!

I used 22 AWG stranded, 2 pair, shielded cable. I recommend connecting

the shield to ground only at the modem end of the cable. With this cable you can

extended the radio at least 100’ from the PM3, however 30 feet should be

enough get you into plenty of trouble.
